Tomorrow I will be posting a list of Champagne cocktails, so be warned, and get that shaker ready!

Hate to be a party pooper but I’ve always thought champagne cocktails are a waste of champagne.

If you have good champagne, why would spoil it by combining it something?

But feel free to try and convince me. Samples would help… ;-)

If you’re looking for the luck of the Irish, or want to bring that fresh, meadow fun to your life, this is the green drink for you! It’s a champagne cocktail named Arise My Love!

          1 shot creme de Menthe
          Champagne

Creme de Menthe is a mint flavored green liqueur. Add a shot of this to a flute glass, then fill with Champagne. Toast and enjoy!

And another one called Morning Glory.

Morning Glories are gorgeous flowers that open each morning in blue, purple, and violet colors. This drink adds a special brightness to your morning! Perfect for that special brunch.

            2oz Orange Juice
            1/2oz Triple Sec
            Champagne

Put the Orange Juice and Triple Sec into a Champange flute. Add in Champange to fill. Garnish with an orange wheel, and enjoy!

My grandmother used to swear by creme de menthe as a cure for what she always referred to as “female troubles.” She started giving it to me when I was 11 or 12 and completely horrified my father. “It’s alcohol!”

This one is called, appropriately, D’Artagnan.

D’Artagnan was the fourth Musketeer who joins the Three Musketeers in the famous book and movie by that name. Here’s a celebration of chivalry and friendship!

                  1/2 shot Armagnac (D’Artagnan region)
                  1/2 shot Grand Marnier
                  1 shot orange juice
                  1/2 tsp sugar syrup
                  Champagne

Put first four ingredients into a Champagne flute. Fill with Champagne. Garnish with an orange twist if desired.
