Just got in from a late shift at work, the dreadful 2 PM to 10 Pm shift, where a throng of patients start lining up at 9:30 PM, all clamoring to be seen for their sore throats, mashed fingers, sinus infections…
I got out by 10:45, and home by 11:15. I’m dog-tired, but my dogs all have the zoomies, so I let them out to zoom around while I peeled off working clothes, and surveyed the kitchen thinking, I’m HUNGBY, and what in the hell am I going to EAT? Too tired to cook, sick of prepared mesls, so I grabbed a whear flour tortilla, put it over a low flame, sprinkled some cheese and chopped onion on it, then spooned some salsa verde (out of the jar), rolled it up and ate it with great relish. Not exactly proper cookery, but better than getting a chimchanga or a burrito from some faux-Mex restaurant that is still open at this hour in my neighborhood.
I’m having to wind down to try to get myself into the state to go to sleep.

Oh, poor Spooky and poor mango. I am so sorry. Losing your huevos must be really tough on the boy. I hope he makes it home.

I had a strange day as usual. I took my male cat for his huevo removal and about five minutes after dropping him at the vet, he called and said that Spooky was loco and escaped. I went back and the vet was scratched and bitten on his arm and hand, and the cat was gone. He never came home so I have no idea what happened to poor Spooky. I am only a few blocks from the vet so he may find his way home.
I had chile rellenos, beans, rice, and an avocado tomato and onion salad. Tortillas of course.

Food tonight was astounding. Shrimps done in a Huan province sauce, noodles laced with chillies & green onions, spicy squid, lemon chicken fried rice…………. I have to go to sleep, having eaten and drunk to the limit, which is unusual with me………..
