The Instant World We Live In!
Written by Asinus Asinum Fricat on May 10, 2008 – 8:38 am -As I write this, there’s wedding ceremony going on right opposite. Well, opposite is the Catholic church so it’s not unusual to have weddings on Saturdays, in fact there’s one almost every Saturday, it’s a very fashionable church, the Dingle church.
These folks are not out of the church as yet, and we have their wedding online already. Instant world!

Lots of men in skirts!
I love the woman in the crazy LARGE white hat. It seems the English penchant for wearing silly hats crossed to Ireland.
BTW, my husband was kilted and dressed for our wedding in 2003. There were quite a few kilts at the wedding, actually.
Images are clickable to make them full size. That is a gorgeous church! What a beautiful view from your window.
Re men in skirts: When my son’s best friend was married several years ago, the men of the wedding party were asked to wear kilts. It was not particularly flattering on my son, but I told him it was about time the groomsmen had to look just as bad as the bridesmaids always do.
Well, these guys, I’m told, are real Scots and they do not wear underwear!
The view is from our little balcony, where everyone smokes (no one is allowed to smoke inside in any pubs or restaurants, which is good for us, but it can get cold in the winter nights!)
I bet dressing “regimental” could be really hard on a guy in Dingle in the wintertime!
Nah, they’d still taunt the girls with their no underwear policy!
Lovely photos, AAF. Looks like a nice day in Dingle. I’m about to go attend an outdoor wedding myself, and it is NOT promising for the bride and groom here. Clouds are building and the wind is in the south. I foresee an umbrella wedding.
Umbrella wedding = that song from Guns & Roses!
