The other thing I bought today is surprisingly good: it’s a packet of six spelt crispbread thinghy…made with spelt, emmental cheese, sunflower seeds, linseeds and sesame seeds. I had two, I thought I would eat the whole packet but it’s quite filling.

It was a shitty day! The sun is shining and the sky is blue when I stop in a local tienda to purchase some scotch and pistachos. Everyone is glued to a radio listening intently. It was funny cause I hear the man speaking so I look for a tv. None in sight. I forget sometimes that I live in the fifties here. It was a government alert warning our town of impending floods. I do know that weather.com has been predicting rain since Monday. It seems that the river problem, or canal is not ready for rain. It has not been fixed! You know, I just got the house fixed after the horrible flood in September. I came home and started moving the food in the cupboards and the small appliances to high places. Tonight, the clouds have come in so it could happen. I am so not ready for this crap!
On a lighter note, sort of. I sold my registration for Netroots Nation. I won’t be attending and that it sad, but the pets are happy that I’ll be home with them.
I just made a green salad and will be eating that with a huge porterhouse steak shortly.

Oh mango! I hope the flood waters recede.

Maybe they’re being hypervigilant like they tend to be here?

it hasn’t even rained yet. I don’t know, and the folks here never prepare for problems. I kind of like their attitude but I couldn’t live that way. They never worry or think about tomorrow. If something happens, it is the will of god.

            Mango,

Good Luck. I also worry about things here. It seems that you just have to go with the flow of life and take things as they come.

            Blessed Be to You,

I have officially become one of those annoying low carbers. :P

Oh, and a site for your consideration: Cow-orker.

I visit this site often while contemplating how many more days I will have to sit in the office next to the woman with imaginary brain tumors that her surgeon refuses to remove for reasons she just can’t understand.

Day was pretty good. Got a $9 haircut yesterday which is to die for! Posh Spice hairdo again, but even more. And the haircutter told me I have good hair. Repeatedly. ??? Which caused me to puff up with pride (omg, I have good hair!), but naw. I have stick straight hair which does what it wants.

And I’m on Day 4 or 5 of low carbing and haven’t fallen off once yet.

OMG, I was about to kill a woman in WalGreen’s on Sunday for her really great, beautiful silver grey, blunt cut, STRAIGHT hair.
You have hair that can go anywhere and be happy. I have mattress ticking. UGH.

I’ve always wanted a mane of thick, curly hair. Always!

                        Posh Spice hair? Like this?

Mine would do that if cut in that way, but dear Lord it would drive me nuts being down in my face.

Mine is down to my butt and I wear it pulled up on my head in a fetching little librarian’s bun. Very low maintenance.

That’s it, but even more exaggerated.

My from is longer and my back is shorter and more stacked.

My hair was very long before, too, but I cut it all off on New Year’s Eve. Can’t believe how much I’ve saved on shampoo!

I would pull your eyes out for that hair. ;-) Ick!

                              LOL!

I would pull yours out for a lush mane of naturally curly – even just wavy! – hair.

But alas. Straight as the day is long. ::wipes tear from eye::

One of the sort-of-positive effects of my chemo is that while I only lost about 1/3 of my hair, I have not had to have it trimmed since January, even though it is cut in a very short, almost-boy-cut.
I can hardly wait until it starts to grow back in…I have seen in my chemo patients that the initial re-growth is often very soft and curly. It should be an interesting pattern!
My regular hair is fine and wavy, but I am blessed with rather thick hair, so the 1/3 loss hasn’t been all that noticeable

Oh, Sweetie! I don’t mean to make fun and I wish you well!
Many years ago, when my daughter was born, all of the front of my hair fell out and grew back silver grey. ICK, I wasn’t old enough for that!
Now I think I might just use the clippers that I use when clipping my sweetie and just do a buzz cut. Much easier to deal with, right?
I’m teetering on your place anyway.
