Good drink.

Take a red grapefruit and squeeze half of it into a glass, with some ice. Then take some gin, the cheaper the better, and add around three ounces. Fill it up with 7-Up and enjoy. Warmest regards, Doc.

Nowhere. Just juice, gin, and 7-Up. By the way, 7-Up used to have lithium in it. Made you feel good until your kidneys failed. Warmest regards, Doc.

I just LOVE grapefruit, and gin & Juice, but, the Medical world has only recently discovered that something in grapefruit juice totally counteracts the Tegretol that I have to take to control my epilepsy. Funny thing, I have lots fewer seizures now… it now takes HEAVY stress to send me over, but, I SO MISS GRAPEFRUIT. I used to eat two every morning, juice all the time. sigh… DAMNDAMNDAMN.

You are exactly correct. There is a substance in grapefruit juice (can not come up with it off the top of my head at the moment) that inhibits liver enzymes from metabolizing drugs. Ask your physician if you can stagger your medication with grapefruit. Maybe you can. I am not a physician, but I do implore you to talk to one who understands about which we speak. Grapefruit is too good to let go, if there is any choice at all. Warmest regards, Doc.
