Speaking of menacing, I boobytrapped the doors and the one accessible window on my old place today, using a combination of window air conditioners, bungie cords, ottomen (?) and those shelves that are called Storage Solutions. mwahahahaha!
I suspect the kid who stole my mower is planning a raid. If he manages to get in, though, things both large and small will be falling on and around him.

Tonight is corned beef sandwiches, slice corned beef(already cooked and in the fridge), baby swiss, sliced red onions, greens, sunflower bread toasted from Trader Joes, chinese cabbage slaw with a tangy dressing, maybe some scallions.
I’m not touching a tomato or hot pepper unless grown locally. That won’t happen for a few weeks yet. I have a tomato already forming on my Oregon Spring and flowers on the two Goliaths. This was a really late spring and cool early summer here.
I had a huge cheeseburger for lunch. I don’t usually eat them, but the combination feed store – laundromat – barbeque – check cashing – gas station – pizzeria down the road from my old place opened a cafe – a real live cafe, complete with a real live restaurant kitchen. So, in the spirit of neighborliness, I had a big old cheeseburger and a side of okra.
We’re grilling buffalo burgers tomorrow. Got the buffalo at the local farm Thursday and cooking on the grill tomorrow. Wish I could get good okra here. I miss it lots! Nothing like a big batch of fresh fried okra. Wow.
I bow to Biscuit, groundhog conquerer and foolish teenagers gone bad outwitter! All hail Biscuit!!!
