The lizard is still sulking, but I persuaded his cousin Pogona Vitticeps (much higher class, quite self-assured) to fill in for him.

omg, he’s lovely!
He’s quite purple, isn’t he?
What a beautiful boy! I LOVE his pinky sticking out!
Making pizza tonight with yeast rising dough, caramelized onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms, garlic, fresh red onion, tomato, herbs and pesto. With a good bit of romano on top.
Made some apricot freezer jam yesterday from the last of the apricots. I put in basil and mint. I’ll let you know how it came out. Sounded good.
As part of my barter pay from the organic co-op, I got a lovely grass-fed blade roast that I put in the crock pot this morning with onions and carrots. Got some tiny new red potatoes and steamed those just until done, made gravy, and called that dinner. It was well-received in the male portion of the household.
All those things sound so yummy! My energy level just sort of fizzles out these days, even though it has been cool and rainy.
I had barium for lunch today - had a CT scan of my chest, abdomen and pelvis - I’ve been having some worrisome pain, so my oncologist thought he’d take a picture of my innards.
That, and working until 1 AM this morning, I just have not had the appetite or strength to do much other than stare at the kitchen, shake my head at the jumble of stuff that is there that must be prepared or cooked, and decide that yogurt is just what I need for dinner tonight!
The dogs are jealous. They consider the plain yogurt THEIR food, and thus too fancy for a mere human to eat. Tough noogies, dogs. Momma bought it, momma eats it!
My exhusband informed me tonight that there will be no more money coming from him. I guess there is only one way to remedy the situation. Thanks for being friends but homeless in Mexico is not an option. Thanks for the friendship that |I’ve found here.
Oh mango, what is going on?
Where are you going? Do you need a place to stay?
mango, does your lawyer know about this? Don’t take it lying down! And if you do need a place to stay let us know and we’ll work something out for you.
Everything has been worked out, I hope. I spoke to the union and they are working on the situation. I got good advice from some kossacks and I followed their advice and the problem seems to be resolved. I do need to speak to my ex and explain to him what needs to be done but he isn’t home or not taking my calls. He has not followed through on a court order which would make my half of his pension direct deposited from the union. It’s a control issue so he has let it drag on for six years. When he gets upset with me he threatens to with hold the money. I am not going to sit back and let him do it any more and when I let him know last night, he said no more money. I hope that I am making sense. No food or sleep makes one incoherent.
wtg, mango!
