The Heart of Inhofe (R-Exxon) Country Struck by E Coli
Written by biscuit on August 27, 2008 – 7:03 am -And yes, some are claiming it’s all originating at one restaurant — but that’s not true.
What is true is that more and more people are getting sick, and they’re unable to determine the cause.
What is also true is that this area is one of the spookiest areas in the entire country. Lots of suspected lead poisoning due to seepage from Tar Creek into surrounding lakes and streams. Lots of FAS, much of it undiagnosed. Lots of abuse and alcohol abuse and drug abuse and domestic violence, meaning lots of head injuries of various sorts.
And determinedly pro-Inhofe (R-Exxon).
My suspicion: contaminated water supplies. Although they insist not. Um yea - right. How many more kids are going to have to go onto dialysis before you fess up?
Update: Because I’m so short on time (leaving to teach a night class in just a few minutes), I’m not going to post a link, but I wanted this on record ASAP.
This is not just e coli but, according to the health department, a new strain of e coli which can infect through mere contact with an infected person. I’ll post a link to the health department’s press release tomorrow.
