Tried again to call my sister in Houston today, on her cell phone. Today is our mutual birthday – she is ten years older than me – and we always have a competition to see who can call whom earliest on our b-day. I think I got the first voice mail in, because after I came in from walking the dog, I found she’d left me a voice mail. 21st century greetings. Voice-mail-tag. It was good to hear her voice, even if it was just on a recording.
