I am absolutely exhausted, but I have had one of my best days teaching ever.
I do love my students, even the ones who drive me crazy.
I am glad that you had a good day. They drive you crazy because you care about your students, and it is a good crazy.
I do love them. Okay, a few, not so much. But most of them, yes, I do love them!
They know that you care.
Biscuit,
Sorry I’ve been out of it today. I know you are a good teacher and supporter of your students. I send good thoughts and hugs your way!
Oh no problem, Scotia! Hugs are always appreciated, but not required. I know you’re as busy as I am, and sometimes, it’s just too hard to even type the words because we’re too busy or too tired or so many other things are going on.
Not a good day for me. My bank account is with WAMU so I got a little drunk last night and have a massive hangover. My dear ex husband is getting information for me. Crap is all I have to say.
argh!!
everything crossed for you …
A very odd news article from Mexico.
Just outside of Mexico City a bus hit a forty ton elephant on a freeway. Forty tons! It happened before dawn and the elephant had escaped from a circus. The elephant and the bus driver were both killed and six passengers were injured. The government confiscated all of the circus animals after the event. Can you just imagine what that poor driver must have thought before he plowed into that elephant?
This is a true story? Poor elephant!
Oh yes it is true. It happened yesterday. It must have been horrible!
omg! poor elephant!!!
Yeah, poor elephant! What a horrible fate, but it might be better than living in a Mexican circus.
Anybody going to watch the debates? I am icky and under the weather and am going to see what happens tonight. It should be interesting.
I’m also making a cassoulet. Two day operation, but marvelous! Navy beans, chicken thighs and drumsticks, italian sausage, bacon, chicken broth, onions, garlic, celery, carrots, tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, spices. Cook for hours and top with buttered bread crumbs and parsley. With the corn bread from the wonderful cast iron corn bread stick pan and a salad, it should be a great meal tomorrow night.
Hi there,
I have been waiting for another mouth watering dinner. I eat vicariously sic? through you. It was tacos for me and yes, I am watching the debate. I hope that you feel better soon.
oooooh, cassoulet. Please report back!
I’m anxious for winter to use my wonderful found corn bread stick pan.
And no, no debate, not here. I already know McCain is a boob.

Greetings from Albuquerque. It’s been two long, tiring days on the road and clients are already all having crises because I’m not on 24-hour call.
At this rate, I’ll have to have a vacation once I get back in order to rest up. Sigh.
Vacations are exhausting, aren’t they?
Had any green chile stew yet? ::drool::
No green chile stew yet, but enchiladas with green chile sauce for lunch at Del’s in Tucumcari. I have mega heartburn at the moment but it was SO worth it!
This was lunch:
Yum!
Hi Kate, nice to hear from you. Let the clients stew. You deserve a break.
Hi, mango. I got the biggest problem solved and tossed the rest of it back in their lap to send me information. Maybe tomorrow I can do something fun instead of work.
Ohhh, can I live in Albuquerque through you? That is such an awesome place. Go to Sandia peak if you can and have dinner and watch the sun go down.
I’m sorry you are so stressed.
I will blog about it just for you.
I took some neat pictures of a ghost town called Cuervo west of Tucumcari and will post them as soon as I get them downloaded from the camera.
Thank you, my Kate!
My sweetie and I spent our 10 day honeymoon in NM and West Texas in 2003. What a wonderful, magical time! Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands at sunset, Las Cruces, Roswell
, Tucumcari. Oh, Kate, get a picture of the beautiful neon retro sign at the Blue Swallow Motel. I have a B&W and a color pic on my wall of that sign.
In Texas: MacDonald Observatory star parties and staying at the Indian Lodge (hint, hint-a really cool place to stay built by the CCC hand carved furniture and adobe walls) in the Davis Mts and watching the march of the tarantulas across the roadway and telling the Northerners…”well, they jump so don’t get too close”. Visiting Ft. Davis historical site and Balmorhea swimming with the fishies in a natural spring-fed pool. Seeing all the wind farms and grass fed beef with the red-tail hawks every five miles circling overhead along I-10.
Good food in NM, hatch chilies were/are wonderful!!! We stayed at the neatest B&B in Taos- Dreamcatcher. Had a hot tub out back and a kiva with pinion wood on the patio. Great place to stay.
Thanks Mango and Biscuit. I just want to watch the trainwreck that is McSame. I hope he blows up tonight. We will see. Palin seems to have already blown up with the Katie Couric interview and they couldn’t broadcast all of it as it was so awful! Whew!
I’ll report back on the cassoulet and let you all know the recipe if it turns out good.
They are a massive train wreck, aren’t they?
:troll
Well, McSame may have been in a draw with Obama, BUT he LOST the cornbelt when he said that he would ditch the ethanol subsidies. What a loser!
