I overslept by three hours today. I woke up and was completely disoriented by the sight of daylight! When I got to work, they were debating calling the cops because they forgot I disconnected my landline and of course the cell was *somewhere* but not where I could hear it.
Thus: the absence of a picture for tonight.
Now you’ll have to excuse me — I have some menudo waiting for me.

Hey, you did better than me. I was late running downtown to pick up the Spouse and got hijacked into taking him to the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Hence the No Lounge at All from me.
You must have been snuggled up under a nice quilt. I never sleep late since it is too hot to sleep. The thought of a cold night is very appealing.
It is getting ready to be cold here. First thing is to remake the bed, tucking sheets in, and use the polyester comforter for a month or two. And turn down the thermostat to 66 F, and I did that today.
In a week or two, the poly comforter will have to be replaced by the down one, and the thermostat set to 64 F.
When it gets really cold, then both comforters on the bed, and 58 F on the dial. I then wear thermal underwear to keep warm. No need to heat up the atmosphere to feel comfortable.
One important thing, though: I run a room humidifier to make my nose and throat not to get too dry. Added benefit is that higher humidity makes the room feel better, sort of warmer.
Warmest regards,
Doc
I have had a horrible day, and the week hasn’t been much better.
I am becoming depressed about my inability to escape for even ten minutes at my job. And I know, I know, there are good things happening in my office, but today I was the only one on our floor and my office was filled with four people and it had been like that all day and my boss came back and walked in my office and barked at me I needed to watch the computer lab because they were doing everything but work in there and I just looked at him and said it’s been like this in here all day and I don’t even think he noticed I was the only person there.
And it’s so petty, but there was something about that that made me think OH FUCK IT!
I think I’m burned out, and I’m beginning to get kind of worried about it.
In any case, I will see you all tomorrow.
