I'm rather proud! I only visited the site occasionally, but it was getting to be a waste of time calling them out, then waiting to see if they banned me.

3:26 pm: Well, that's 9 minutes of my life I'll never get back. The homesteading forums trolling headquarters is seriously dull. I decide to turn my attention to better things, like food.

3:27 pm: Oh god, what I wouldn't do for just one lamb shank!

3:17 pm: I'm in the homesteading forums trolling headquarters! omg! But drchelo's post made me hungry, and the place doesn't look nearly interesting enough to detract me from a meal.

They talk football over at TalkLeft? I guess I haven't been there in awhile. Oh, well.
biscuit, why would the mortgage company all of a sudden stop taking your mortgage payment out weekly? You'd think they'd be more than happy to get their hands on any ready $ that they could.
With it being Sunday and all, I had an appetite, so I met my friend Mary at her workplace down in Deep Ellum (a very funky, fun area just north and east of downtown) and we went to Paco y Mito's Mexican restaurant.
I knew it was going to be good when we walked in and there were several tables full of three-generation Mexian families, complete with ancient grandmamas and toddlers, all eating and talking.
My tacos al carbón had real rajas in them! Rajas are a kind of green chile that is a little hotter and more bitter than a Hatch chili, but not as hot as a jalapeño, and I haven't found them in any Mex-Tex places around in quite a while. They are delicious. And then they had freshly-made sopapillas, so Mary and I split an order. No one can accuse me of not taking advantage of every minute of appetite that I can scrounge..
Our waiter, Diego, was most pleased to find a red-headed, green-eyed gringa speaking Spanish, so I am sure that is why Mary and I received a double portion of crema with our one order of sopapillas. Mary took an order of guacamole home with her. I decided against it, as I'd hate to see good food possibly rot in the refrigerator. If I want excellent guacamole, I'll just go back there.
Biscuit, I do hope that you get all your projects done. Still, I secretly enjoy hearing about all the good reasons that you don't get your projects done....

3:04 pm: I decide to join the secret homesteading forum where all the trolling of the other homesteading forums originates from. My plan: to troll them because they're as annoying as the people they're trolling. In order to do so, I need a new email address.

3:05 pm: Shit. free2Bme and all variants are already taken. I assume an even more noxious email name instead.

2:49 pm: I've removed the algae and discovered a major caulking project in the meantime. Yoikes! And it just won't be warm enough to do it for at least a few weeks. I also managed to get crawlspace vent closed and to clean out a drain to the french drains --- well, in fact, to the submerged (and non-functional) sump pump in the chamber in which much of the drainage goes to.

2:50 pm: I take a bucket filled with one week's worth of coffe grounds and old coffee to the azalea bush and dump it.

2:52 pm: I congratulate myself on my wisdom to close off The Freezing Room and the room next to it, as now the entire house is absolutely comfy. I will from now on make The Freezing Room the Summer Hunkering Down Room, as it stays so pleasantly cool.

2:53 pm: I contemplate supper, then remember I still have to grade. Shit!
