I’m making grits this weekend, something along the lines of Laylita’s Mote frito en salsa de hornado.

    :troll

Except I’m using grits instead of hominy.

This is looking like a real grits-for-breakfast weekend, at least down here, biscuit. I suppose you have already gotten it, but we are getting 45 mph North winds right now that, along with sunset, have dropped the temperature about 30 degrees in the last hour and a half!
I may have to break out my Michelin Woman look early this season – putting on my seven layers of clothing – to make up for my worn-out insulation! The nice thing about being Michelin Woman is that if the Demon dog knocks me down, it doesn’t cause any damage if I fall! I just sort of bounce.

I had a Michelin Man in my office earlier today. It was very amusing.

Yea, grits cooked with lots of garlic and smothered in buffalo gravy will definitely warm me up. I haven’t figured out the rest of the weekend yet. There is, of course, the obligatory menudo tomorrow night, and I have some lovely eggs from chickens I’m not close to but know well enough to greet.

Oh, grits with garlic, salt and black pepper and a couple of soft boiled eggs cracked over them with the yolk’s yellow goodness and white bits meandering over the grits. Some really lean bacon and baking powder biscuits on the side. YUM!
It is cold here and there are winds that are not nice. Though there is a razor clam dig this weekend. We are going in December, it may be colder but it will be earlier in the day. We can see where to dig!!!
