At least I’m finally getting round to painting the hallway …

I think we posted Lounges at the same time. No matter, I saved mine for tomorrow.

        oooooo! I wondered about that.

I’m getting ready to paint (for real - I really am!) and posted it because I was worried I’d get all involved.

I can’t say I miss summer. This fall has been just beautiful, Indian summer since mid-October. Today was the first day I even turned on the heater, and that was to warm up the bathroom so that I could comfortably take a shower. My Michelin Woman (seven layers!) strategy makes it easier for me to keep the thermostat about 62-65 degrees all winter long.
I did not have the energy to make chili today, but I thought about it.

Our Indian Summer went missing in action. It got cold very early, then was wnderful for about a week — and now it’s almost bitter cold. It was cold enough this morning that my ankle bones hurt, which only happens when it gets really cold.

I’ve had the heater on for a month. !. I turn it way down during the day - 60 degrees - but up to 69-70 in the evening.

I’m not succeeding on the Michelin Woman front, though …

I’m having a horrible time deciding about painting the trim in the hall. On the one hand, a lot of it *is* original. On the other, it just breaks the space up so much that it feels like a cave.

I was all set to go, too, and now I’m almost undecided again. grrrrr.

It has been cold and clear the last two days 30’s at night, lower 50’s in the day. Beautiful intensely blue skies and lovely fall red and gold trees. I have had the heat in the office up to 60 the last two days. I’m not a Michelin Woman yet, but I see young women walking their babies in strollers in sleeveless blouses in mid-afternoon! I do not understand.
I am cooking corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes and onions with stick biscuits!
Biscuit, why don’t you take a picture and post it of your hall? I, for one, would like to see.

I don’t have a new camera yet. Yea, yea, I know, but I’m paying a mortgage and student loans at the same time!

I *almost^ bought a digital camera yesterday, then remembered all my bills. ::sigh:: I’m hoping Christmas will be a retail bust so I can implement my evil plan: cleaning up at the end of December! I need new socks and undies, too, after all. :P

WOOT! Me, too! I am looking at a wardrobe for the PNW instead of a wardrobe for Austin. Little bit by little bit I have been buying clothes. Goodwill is a great place. I buy men’s jeans and pants for really cheap.
I also am doing an upholstery project on an antique couch and chair that was my grandmothers….as soon as I can find the fabric I like. It is going to be a daunting project, but a great accomplishment.

Oh, I love the passion flower. Is it on your property? We had one round the corner from where we lived in Austin and would enjoy it on our daily walks in bloom.

My other place is covered with passion flower. If I could post pics in comments, I’d show you pics of a mess of Gulf frittilary larvae chowing down on them. I had so many going that I didn’t mind sharing.
