Shame on you, biscuit, for depriving houndie grrl of her proper nutrition! Don’t you know she doesn’t have thumbs and cannot prepare food for herself? You’d better share with her, or you’ll never hear the end of it.
It’s cold and almost-raining here, again with the Texas topsy-turvy weather – the high temperature of 70 degrees happened at 1 AM, and it’s now down in the low 40′s with a strong north wind. It’d be a night for hot soup or stew, if I had an appetite. So, I think I’ll settle for some hot chocolate.

You have our weather with extra heat. I’m so jealous of your 40s!
As for the houndie grrl … she’s howling, but her food is cooling in its bowl on the counter. Next I add an eg to each bowl and some nutritional yeast, and all will be well with the world again.
It has been a “wet 40″ here today. Nice for December, just a few degrees lower and we get the lovely huge wet snowflakes that are gone by 10AM. I like this snow. The salmon chum are running upstream and this weekend is another razor clam dig. We just might go get some more!

Birmingham has such great architecture. Lovely, once again!
I’m eating a bowl of the dogs’ food.
They’re very upset but, boy, is it yummy: lentils and sweet potatoes cooked in chicken stock.
The houndie grrrl is squealing and whining like there’s no tomorrow because she’s so scared she won’t get any.
I had to read your post three times before I got it. You don’t want to know what was running thru my mind!

I made my chicken and dressing and gravy this afternoon, but now I’m with drchelo and have tummy problems.
I’m sorry, Kate. It sounds like a perfect dinner to me.
All will be well. I’ll eat it for breakfast, if need be!
Oh my, breakfast of cold chicken and dressing is a favorite in this house! I hope you get to eat it.
I’m making homemade pizza and have the dough proofing as we speak. Greyfox is sautéing veggies and GARLIC. We will use some aged parmesan slices on top.
My chicken and dressing was quite tasty for breakfast. I had to fight off the girls, who obviously thought it smelled quite tasty too.

I’m sorry you have the funny tummy, Kate. At least I know why mine is rebelling.
I think I’ll use Mexican chocolate for my hot chocolate tonight.
drchelo, I hope a Mexican chocolate hot mug will help you to get right in the tummy.
