Re corningware: The current stuff being produced is more like what I would call stoneware, not the older ceramic-style oven-to-table casseroles of my younger days. The new corningware is not microwave safe as the older stuff is. I bought a dozen of the old casseroles on eBay a couple of years ago just to have a backup stock. "They just don't make things like they used to." And to think I spent years rolling my eyes at my parents for saying things like that.
