On Pastis

One of the typical scenes to be found throughout my neck of the woods, Provence, is of men gathered around the town square playing pétanque and drinking the aniseed flavored liquor, Pastis. Many afternoons I spent playing this game in my youth, with the object of winning a couple of apéritifs!

The Lavender Fields of my Provence

As a kid I was sent to the summer camps of upper Provence, a mesmerizing area with thousands of surrounding lavender fields. To this day, I have kept the same habits I had as a kid, and splash myself with lavender water every morning after a shower, and before I go to sleep (apparently, it helps getting a good night sleep)
